Re: Extreme Weather Arrangements
As you may be aware, there is a small chance of snow forecast this week. Leigh Academy Blackheath will remain open as long as it is safe to do so.
How will we let you know if the academy is closed?
In the unlikely event that the academy is forced to close due to extreme weather, a message will be placed on the Academy website and all parents and carers will receive a text message informing them of said closure as early as possible. We will update the website regularly to keep parent[s] and carer[s] informed about arrangements for the following day.
Remote Learning
If the academy is forced to close, students will be expected to attend online lessons in accordance with their normal timetable. These will be made available via Google classroom.
