Dear Parents/Carers,
We are excited to extend an invitation to your child for our upcoming event, ‘Pathways to Your Future,’ which is taking place at Leigh Academy Blackheath on Tuesday, January 16th.
The goal of this event is to provide your child with valuable insights into different career paths, educational opportunities, and the skills necessary for their future aspirations.
The Academy has arranged for a variety of workshops containing information and tasks that will support your child’s understanding of different future career pathways. These sessions will be run by a combination of Academy staff and external speakers.
To give students a more authentic experience, we are asking your child to come to the Academy in business wear, as per the below. We do not expect anyone to buy new clothes for this event, so if your child does not have these options, then wearing a school uniform is acceptable.
Business Wear Options
- Blouse/Shirt and tie: Formal (not usual school tie);
- Trouser/skirt: Trouser (not usual school grey) or smart business skirt (Skirts must be worn on the knee);
- Dress: formal business;
- Suit: formal business (wearing a full suit is not essential);
- Shoes: formal shoes (can be usual school shoes);
Please note: your child is expected to arrive at school at the normal time of 08:20, and students will be dismissed at 15:15.
