Dear Parents and Guardians,

Re: New Science Key Stage 4 Homework Policy

We hope this letter finds you well and that the new school year has started smoothly for your child. We are writing to inform you of an important update regarding our Key Stage 4 Science homework policy, which is designed to enhance the learning experience and support your child’s academic progress.

In response to the evolving educational landscape and our commitment to providing the best possible learning opportunities for our students, we are implementing a new homework policy in Science for Key Stage 4 students, effective immediately.

Homework Details

Separate Science Students

  • Each Separate Science student is required to complete 5 daily goals on our online learning program called Tassomai.
  • Weekly homework assignments will be set every Friday on Bromcom and are due on the following Friday.
  • Failure to complete the assigned homework will result in a 30-minute detention on the Friday it was due.

Combined Science Students

  • Each Combined Science student is required to complete 4 daily goals on our online learning program called Tassomai.
  • Weekly homework assignments will be set every Friday on Bromcom and are due on the following Friday.
  • Failure to complete the assigned homework will result in a 30-minute detention on the Friday it was due.

Purpose and Benefits

The primary aim of this Science homework policy is to help students strengthen their knowledge, improve recall, and establish sustainable revision habits. By encouraging regular usage of Tassomai, we believe students will develop a deeper understanding of Science, ultimately leading to improved academic performance.

How Can You Support Your Child?

We kindly request your support in ensuring that your child completes their daily Tassomai goals. Encourage them to view this weekly task as an opportunity for growth and development, as their consistent effort will yield substantial benefits in the long run.

We understand that each student may have unique circumstances, so please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s subject teachers or our school administration if you have any concerns or require further assistance.

We are excited about the positive impact this new homework policy will have on your child’s educational journey and look forward to working together to help them achieve their full potential.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child’s Science education. We believe that, with your involvement, we can provide them with the best possible learning experience.

Sincerely,
Ms F. Ofori-Boadu | Director of Learning Science
