Uniform

LAB Letter Image

Dear Parents and Carers,

At LAB, we are proud of our high standards of uniform which we are determined to maintain; however, it seems that current fashion trends include skirts being worn very short, and trousers waistbands being worn very low.  Both are unsuitable, and impractical trends for students to copy whilst wearing their school uniform.

To maintain an appropriate standard of uniform suitable for a school environment, skirts are to be worn on the knee and must not be rolled up, and trousers are to be worn correctly at the waist. Skirts and trousers must be steel grey in colour. A full overview of our uniform expectations can be found on our website.

Facial piercings, nail varnish, and false nails or eyelashes are not allowed at the Academy. Students are welcome to wear one pair of small stud earrings and one simple ring on a finger.

Please remember that on days when your child has PE, they should come to school wearing their full PE kit, including their LAB sports polo and jumper. PE bottoms must be navy; fashion leggings or black trousers/leggings are not allowed

As outlined in our behaviour policy, sanctions can be issued for not wearing the correct uniform.

Please support your child, and the academy, by ensuring they have the correct uniform for school, and are wearing it appropriately.

We have a range of second hand uniform items available through college teams for students to borrow if required, and welcome any donations of old uniform you may have.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Kind regards
