In case you missed it, here is the information shared earlier this week about the meningitis cases in Kent.

Year 10 work experience reminder

The initial deadline for securing and uploading placements to Unifrog is today (20 March 2026). We have been having lots of positive conversations around work experience across Year 10, and it is great to see so many students feeling ambitious and excited about their future. Please continue to support these conversations at home and encourage students to finalise their placements where possible.

Support our students with work experience

If your child has not yet secured a placement, we encourage you to continue reaching out to potential employers. If you or someone you know may be able to offer a work experience opportunity, we would really appreciate your support. These experiences play a key role in helping students develop confidence and understand the world of work.

A note from the LAB SEND team - Fidget Aids only please!

We’ve recently noticed an increase in large squishy fidget toys being brought into school, which, while fun, are unfortunately creating quite a bit of mess and distraction if they are over-squished and burst mid-lesson. We would like to clarify that fidget toys are not permitted at LAB. However, appropriate fidget aids are absolutely welcomed and supported as part of helping our neurodivergent students to regulate and focus. We kindly ask that any fidget aids brought in from home are small, pocket-sized, silent, and discreet (for example, no Need-Oh style squishies, clickies, or anything messy or distracting). Thank you for your support in helping us keep our environment calm, tidy, and inclusive for all students – especially our neurodivergent learners who genuinely benefit from appropriate regulation tools.

Pre-loved Uniform Donations

We are currently seeking to replenish our stock of pre-loved uniforms to support our school community. If you have any items that are no longer required, specifically school blazers and ties, we would be incredibly grateful for your donations. Please ensure that all items are laundered and in good condition before dropping them off at the Main Reception. Your contributions play a vital role in our commitment to supporting all families within our community.

Uniform letter

Please find attached a letter that was shared yesterday regarding our uniform expectations.

Brigade - Uniform ordering deadline

Just an early reminder, to ensure your uniform items arrive in time for the start of the new academic year, please place your orders with Brigade by Saturday, 1st August. Attached is a link to their website.
