Our final day of Module 2 will be Friday 19th December. School will finish early on this day at 12:35pm. Students will have the opportunity to purchase a hot meal during breaktime on this day. FSM’s will be available at breaktime for those students who are entitled.
The immunisation team will be returning to LAB on Monday 15th December to administer flu vaccinations. If you have missed the opportunity to complete their consent form, please contact the Greenwich immunisation team at 0203 903 3345 or via email at krft.greenwichimms@nhs.net.
Please note that no sports clubs will be running next week. The only exception is Netball on Monday, which will run as usual.
A new clubs timetable for next module will be issued in due course
Just a reminder that our Year 12 Business students and Year 9 Airy students are organising a non-uniform day for LAB students to participate in with the goal of collecting as many food donations as possible for our local food bank. If you are able, it would be wonderful if you could buy something extra, or donate something from your cupboard.
We know that there are many families who will be struggling over the Christmas period and we would love to be able to help families in our local community. All donations will be taken to Brookhill Children’s Centre Family Hub. They are especially short of toiletries but we also welcome tins, cans, pasta and biscuits.
Please ensure that your child wears appropriate clothing and footwear on this non-uniform day. For example: sliders, flip flops, crop tops, very short shorts, or similar are not permitted.
Join us for an afternoon of music and performances celebrating the creativity of our talented students. Parents and Carers are invited to share in this special event. If you would like to come along please complete the attached Google form. Please note that we only have a limited number of tickets available and they will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. We have also capped the number of tickets you can reserve at 2 per family. There will be no charge for these tickets but we kindly request that you bring along a donation for our local food bank. We look forward to welcoming you!
- Doors open: 3:50pm
- Showcase begins: 4:00pm

Thank you to all that contributed to our Save the Children Fund for Christmas Jumper Day. We have raised a total of £352 so far, donations are still welcome until Friday 19th December.
We look forward to celebrating the students who will be receiving a Bronze award on Monday 15th December from 9am to 10am.
Students who have not yet achieved this goal will have another opportunity to earn a Bronze award in modules 3 and 4.
To achieve a Bronze award, a student must earn 100+ merits, have at least 96% attendance, have received no more than three late marks since the start of module 1, and have fewer than 20 demerits with no supervisions, suspensions or directions off-site.
Those students who receive a Bronze award at the end of this module are eligible to work towards a Silver award in modules 3 and 4.
To achieve a Silver award, a student must earn 200+ merits, have at least 96% attendance, have received no more than three late marks since the start of module 1, and have fewer than 20 demerits with no supervisions, suspensions or directions off-site.
For any students interested in pursuing the IB Diploma from September, we are now the only state school in SE London to be offering this globally recognised prestigious programme for September 2026. Given this news, we have attracted significant interest from external prospective students. Naturally we will always have a preference for our internal year 11s – on this note, we encourage applications to be submitted as soon as possible.
A reminder that students:
- Must make their application using the log-in details that have been emailed to them rather than creating a new profile.
- Do not need to wait until they have received their mock grades before making an application – these can be updated after submission.
If you have been unable to join us for any of our open events so far, we have another LAB16 Open Morning taking place on Monday 26th January, 9-10am. They are a great opportunity to find out more about our IB programmes and the LAB16 experience. Click here to book your place. LAB parents who have attended our previous open events have found them to be incredibly insightful and helped them address misconceptions about the two IB programmes that make up our post-16 offer.
