Dear Parent[s] and Carer[s],
Re: Social Media Conduct
It has come to our attention that there are children in Year 7 involved in some negative interactions online which are not in line with the values we promote.
We believe in the importance of treating everyone with integrity, respect, and empathy, both in person and online. Social media is a powerful tool that can be used positively to connect with others, but it can also cause harm when used inappropriately. We take any form of online unkindness very seriously. If such behaviour becomes persistent, it can be considered bullying, which has lasting effects on the wellbeing of others and will be dealt with accordingly.
We encourage all families to speak openly with their children about their online activity and help them understand the impact of their words and actions.
Monitoring your child’s social media use and guiding them in making responsible choices online is important for their safety and wellbeing.
To support you in this, we’ve included some helpful links below:
● Childnet: Parents and Carers Toolkit

We appreciate your ongoing support and partnership in promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all our students.
Kind regards,
Ms Sarah Sword
Deputy Principal
