Dear Parents and Carers,

Year 10 Pathways to Your Future Day – Tuesday 2 December 2025

We are pleased to inform you that Year 10 will be taking part in our Pathways to Your Future Day on Tuesday 2 December 2025. This is an important event in the academic year and is designed to support pupils as they begin to think seriously about their future choices and aspirations.

Pathways to Your Future is a full day of guided learning, reflection and exploration. Pupils will take part in a series of structured sessions, including a work experience workshop, an introduction to post sixteen pathways, and a session led by an external organisation focusing on careers, university routes and apprenticeships. Through these sessions, pupils will gain a clearer understanding of the options available to them when they finish their GCSEs, as well as the skills, values and mindsets that will help them make informed decisions.

During the day, pupils will also hear from Year 11 students who completed their work experience placements last year. Their stories and reflections will help Year 10 pupils understand the value of work experience and why it is such a significant opportunity.

This event forms part of our wider careers programme which aims to prepare all pupils for life beyond school. The day will run to the normal school schedule. Pupils should attend in full school uniform and bring their usual equipment.

Pupils will be given a Pathways Passport which they will use throughout the day to record their reflections, key learning and future actions. At the end of the day, they will bring this home. We encourage you to look through the passport with your child and use it as a starting point for conversations about their interests and future plans.

We expect pupils to approach the day with maturity and commitment, as the sessions are designed to support important decisions about life beyond school.

If you have any questions, please do get in touch.

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to delivering an engaging and valuable day for our Year 10 pupils.

Yours Faithfully,

Oliver Hughes
