Very few schools place as sustained and systematic an emphasis on reading as we do at LAB. All pupils read, every single day. They read at the start of lessons; they read at the start of tutor time; they read for homework; and some even choose to read at break and lunch times. Thus, it was with much joy that we celebrated our 7th annual World Book Day. Students and staff loved dressing up as their favourite book characters and learning about the history of this global event, alongside how reading develops both our intellect and character!
