Re: Year 7 24-Hour Outdoor Residential Visit to Cuffley Active Learning Centre
We are excited to invite all Year 7 students to take part in a 24-hour outdoor residential trip to Cuffley Active Learning Centre from Thursday 18th to Friday 19th September.
This will be a fantastic opportunity for students to spend time in the woods, take part in activities, enjoy a campfire and bond as a year group.The trip supports the IB Middle Years Programme by encouraging communication, leadership, risk-taking and creativity, while giving students a fun and memorable start to their time at LAB.
Timings:
Thursday 18th September
- Students should arrive at LAB in their own clothes (comfortable for travel and outdoor activities).
- Depart LAB at 9:00am via Coach
- Arrive at Cuffley around midday for Welcome & safety briefing
- Afternoon & evening activities, including campfire
Friday 19th September
- Morning activities
- Depart Cuffley at midday via Coach
- Arrive back at LAB by 3:00pm
Kit list:
- Sleeping bag (3-season ideal)
- Old clothes (things you don’t mind getting muddy!)
- Spare clothes & waterproofs
- Old pair of trainers/boots/wellies
- Towel & wash kit
- Reusable water bottle (1L+)
- Torch
- Any medication (clearly named)
Mobile phones are not permitted to be used on the trip. If a student does use their phone, it will be confiscated.
Next steps:
Please complete the Google Form ( link ) to give consent. If you do not wish your child to attend, please indicate this on the form by Wednesday 10th September so that alternative arrangements can be made for them in school.
We are asking for a contribution of £50 towards the cost of the trip, which covers transport, activities, meals and accommodation. Payments can be made via ParentPay.
