Year 11 and 13 Interventions - Easter Break

To support our Year 11 and 13 students, we are hosting intervention sessions from Monday, 30th March to Thursday, 2nd April. If your child is invited, they will be provided with a bespoke timetable as soon as possible to help them prepare.

Year 12 mocks exams

Starting Monday, 16th March, our Year 12 cohort will begin a two-week block of mock examinations. We kindly ask for your cooperation in supporting students with their revision schedules and ensuring they are prepared for their exam.

Year 10 Work Experience

A reminder that Year 10 Work Experience will take place from 29 June to 3 July 2026. All placements must be arranged and uploaded to Unifrog by 20 March 2026 using the student’s school email account. Please ensure placements are confirmed and submitted by the deadline so they can be approved in time for the placement week. Instructions can be found here.

If any parents or members of our community work in an organisation that may be able to offer a work experience placement for a LAB student, we would be very grateful to hear from you. Supporting placements helps us give more students valuable insight into the workplace.

Module 3&4 Bronze and Silver Awards

We are looking forward to celebrating with our Bronze and Silver award winners on the morning of 23rd March.

The awards are a recognition of the students who have achieved 100+ merits, at least 96% attendance, three or fewer late marks, fewer than 20 demerits and no, supervisions, suspensions or directions off-site.

Those students who achieved a Bronze award in module 2, are now eligible to try and achieve a Silver award for maintaining the standards shown for a Bronze award and gaining another 100+ merits.

Expanding Our Co‑Curricular Club Offer

We are currently reviewing our co‑curricular club offer to make it even richer and more exciting for our students. Our programme is already something we’re proud of, but we’re always looking to broaden the opportunities available. If you or someone you know could run a club or lead a workshop, we would love to hear from you. Please email info@blackheath.latrust.org.uk  Thank you!

Sponsor Mr Sinclair!

Mr Sinclair is running the London Marathon on Sunday 26th April in support of The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. Any small contribution that you might be able to make in order to help him reach the fundraising goal would be greatly appreciated. A link can be found here.
