Dear Parents and Carers,

Year 9 – Key Stage 4 Preferences

This is an exciting time as students begin to consider the subjects they will study at Key Stage 4. I am writing to inform you that the Key Stage 4 Preferences Form is now live, it can be actioned through this link. The deadline for completion is 9:00 am on Wednesday, 11th February.

All students will continue to study English, Mathematics, Modern Foreign Languages and Science throughout Key Stage 4. These core subjects are compulsory and do not need to be selected as part of the preferences process. However, if a student would like to study Separate Science, this would count as a one preference.

To support students and families throughout the selection process, a range of guidance materials is available on the school website. This includes a copy of the presentation delivered on Wednesday, 21st January. If you or your child would like any additional information on course content or structure, I would encourage you to make contact with teachers and directors of learning in the next few weeks.

Please note that, while every effort will be made to accommodate students in the subjects they most wish to study, this may not always be possible. When completing the form, please ensure that the same subject is not selected more than once.

If you have any questions or issues regarding the preferences process please complete this form and a member of the school will be in contact with you.

Best wishes,

Mr J Smith | Assistant Principal
