Dear Parents and Carers,

It was great to welcome some of you to the Parent and Carer forum last Monday afternoon, this time the focus was on Online Safety and was delivered by Dan Bull, Head of Digital Engagement at LAT. Digital Detox Week

For those of you with children in year 7, or who are new to LAB, we have an annual Digital Detox week where students and staff are encouraged to put aside their chromebooks for learning whenever possible. There will be further information sent out next week, but Digital detox week is Monday 23rd – Friday 27th June, 2022.

Water bottles and sunscreen

We would like to remind families that all students should bring a refillable water bottle with them everyday, an essential item in a LAB student’s kit and increasingly important as the weather continues to get warmer. We also encourage students to apply sunscreen in the morning, especially on days when they have PE lessons.

A gentle reminder that all students are required to wear a blazer daily, unless they are wearing PE kit. In warmer weather their jumper can be removed, but they are still required to wear their blazer. Shorts can be worn but these are to be charcoal grey, tailored and knee length. All skirts should be knee length, and rolling them up at the waist band is not permitted.  We hope that you all have a great weekend and look forward to seeing the students from 8.00am on the gate on Monday morning.

Best wishes

E Smith
