Dear Parents/ Carers,
We would like to invite you to attend our Parents and Carers Consultation Evening, to take place onsite at LAB on Thursday 10th March, from 16:00-19:00. This is an important evening and provides you with an opportunity to speak with your child’s teachers about both their academic progress and their attitude to learning across the curriculum.
As per last academic year, the academy has continued to invest in an easy to use online appointment booking system (details of which you will find below). This will allow you to select appointment times with your child’s teachers. You will then receive an email confirming said appointments. However, the evening itself will be held on the academy site, to give you a chance to meet with your child’s teachers and discuss their progress in person. Our restaurant will also be serving a taster menu for those who wish to sample the hot and cold food that we serve onsite each day.
Appointments can be made from 09:00am on Monday, February 28th and will close at 17:00 on Monday, March 7th. Please do not attempt to book appointments earlier than the advertised date as the system will not save them.
Please visit https://leighacademyblackheath.schoolcloud.co.uk/ to book your appointments. A short guide on how to add appointments is included with this letter. You will need to login with the following information:
- Your name;
- Your email address;
- Your child’s first name and surname;
- Your child’s Date of Birth.
Please note that, although we would wish for all parents and carers to have the opportunity to consult with every single one of their children’s teachers, we also recognise that certain members of staff see a large number of year 8 students, and that it is not always possible, therefore, for them to meet with everybody.
If you do wish to speak to a particular teacher who is not available, therefore, please do email them so that this can be arranged for another time.
If you are having problems logging into SchoolCloud, please do contact firstname.lastname@example.org and a member of our team will support you in this regard.
Mr D. Morrison
Vice Principal – Curriculum
