Parent’s Forum – 16th September 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

Now that we are able to invite parents and carers into our building we are excited to announce that we will be holding a series of Parent Forums this academic year. The Forums will be an opportunity to focus on a specific area of academy life and ask for feedback about your experience and the experience of your child.

We will run one forum per module with a different focus and will contact you ahead of time to inform you of the meeting date and topic for discussion. Please note that the Parent Forums will not be an opportunity for one to one feedback about your childs’ progress. Please follow the usual channels for this; approaching their tutor in the first instance or secondly the SSM/Head of College.

We would like to first start by looking at our newly established RSE and PSHE curriculum alongside our careers provision which form a part of our Personal Development curriculum. The format for the forum will be to look at our key deliverables this academic year, the challenges we may face, any worries you may have as parents and lastly to ask what you would like to see more of.

The date for our first Parents’ Forum will be Monday 27th September between 4.30 and 5.30 pm. To ensure that we have adequate space, seating and ventilation for the meeting please email info@leighacademyblackheath.org.uk or call the school on 0208 104 0888 to confirm that you will be attending.

I look forward to working with you soon.

Yours sincerely,

Ms E Nuttall
Vice Principal
Head of Fawcett College
